New: Free Rent & Landlord Calculators for the Irish Property Market!

At Property Vision, we’re always looking for ways to make renting and letting in Ireland simpler, clearer, and fairer for everyone. Whether you’re searching for your next home or managing a rental property, understanding the numbers behind rent, yield, and affordability can make all the difference.

That’s why we’ve built four new, easy-to-use Irish property calculators — available free on our website. They’re designed to help both tenants and landlords make confident, informed decisions in minutes.

1. Rent Affordability Calculator

Not sure how much rent you can realistically afford?

Our Rent Affordability Calculator gives you a quick estimate based on your monthly take-home income. It uses the widely accepted rule of thumb that rent should not exceed around 30% of your net income.

Simply enter your income, and it shows the maximum rent you should aim for — per month or per week. It’s a great tool for budgeting, comparing properties, or setting your rental expectations before you start viewing homes.

2. Rent Pressure Zone (RPZ) Increase Calculator

Ireland’s Rent Pressure Zone (RPZ) system limits how much rent can legally increase from one review to the next. But working out the maximum allowed rent under the RPZ rules can be confusing — especially when CPI (Consumer Price Index) figures change every few months.

Our RPZ Increase Calculator does the hard work for you.

Just enter your previous rent, the date of your last review, and the relevant CPI percentage, and it instantly shows the maximum lawful new rent. It also includes a weekly ↔ monthly rent converter, so you can see the figures in whichever format suits you best.

3. Rental Yield Calculator (for Landlords)

If you’re a landlord or thinking about investing in a buy-to-let, this one’s for you.

Our Rental Yield Calculator helps you measure how well your property performs financially. It shows your gross yield, net yield, and potential return on investment (ROI) — factoring in expenses, mortgage interest, and other running costs.

With average Irish yields ranging from 5% to 7%, this tool helps you see whether your property is keeping up with the market, and where there’s room to improve.

4. Landlord Tax & Profit Calculator

The Irish rental market can be profitable, but it’s important to plan for taxes and expenses before you calculate your true return.

Our Landlord Tax & Profit Calculator estimates your taxable rental income, tax payable, and net income after tax — taking into account allowable expenses, mortgage interest, and your tax band.

It’s a simple, realistic way to see how much of your rental income you’ll actually keep at the end of the year, before filing your return with Revenue.

Why We Built These Tools

We know that transparency is key to a healthy rental market.
Tenants deserve to know what’s affordable and legal; landlords deserve to know what’s fair and sustainable. Our calculators are designed to take the guesswork out of renting — providing clear, data-driven insights tailored to the Irish property landscape.

These tools are completely free to use, with no sign-up required, and they reflect current Irish regulations as of this year.

At Property Vision, we combine years of local letting expertise with modern tools to make renting and managing property as straightforward as possible. If you’d like professional advice on setting rent, finding tenants, or managing your portfolio, our team is always happy to help.
